Five suspects descended on a South Beverly Drive jewelry store with sledge hammers, breaking the front window and making off with merchandise, according to police. The “smash-and-grab” suspects fled on foot. Detectives with the Beverly Hills Police Department are investigating the incident. This is a developing story that will be updated.
Breaking: Wesley Aframian, a jeweler next door to Luxury Jewels of Beverly Hills, fights off “smash-and-grab” burglars as they make off with jewelry. He says he was able to recover some watches in the process.
