Filing Fee:

  • $26 to file one business name and one registrant
  • $5 for each additional business name and additional registrant
  • $26 to file a Renewal (no changes from original application)
  • Payment must be by check or money order payable to “Registrar Recorder / County Clerk” or “RR/CC.” Check must have printed name and address. Please include phone number, driver’s license number and expiration date.

Publishing Fee:

  • $78 for four weeks of publishing in the Beverly Hills Courier
  • $5 for each additional business name and additional registrant
  • Payment may be made by credit card, cash or check payable to “Beverly Hills Courier.”

The L.A. County Clerk’s office requires the following DBA forms to be filled out online, printed and submitted to the Beverly Hills Courier:

  • DBA Application
  • Affidavit of Identity Form (must be notarized on the County form, not a separate attachment)
  • Authorized Agent Form

The registrant must leave the top part of the Authorized Agent form blank for the Courier agent to complete and sign. The registrant must print, date and sign the bottom part of the form. If filing as a Corporation or LLC, a current “Active Status” printout from the California Secretary of State’s website (https://businessearch.sos.ca.gov) is required. No scratch outs, white out or printing allowed on the forms, other than signature of registrant. Blue ink is preferred.

A DBA filing is valid for five years.
