Students have returned to classes in the Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD). Special Back to School events in the city included Staff Opening Day on Aug. 11 at the Saban Theater. The event was attended by BHUSD staff, school board, PTA, BHEF and city officials including members of the City Council and the chief of police. BHUSD Board of Education President Noah Margo, Mayor Dr. Julian Gold and BHUSD Superintendent Dr. Michael Bregy addressed the gathering. Additional “Welcome Back” events took place on Aug. 13, including Hawthorne Elementary School’s Operation Welcome Back and a Pancake Breakfast at Horace Mann Elementary School.
