Vice Mayor Sharona Nazarian attended the centennial celebration of the Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF), which was established in 1925. Organized by the Jewish communities of Los Angeles and the Persian American Civic Action Network (PACAN), the event took place on May 31 at the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi addressed the gathering, paying tribute to the internationally respected role the air force played in the pre-Islamic Republic era. Nazarian presented both His Royal Highness and the IIAF with proclamations on behalf of the city of Beverly Hills.
