As high temperatures blanket Southern California for the next several days, Beverly Hills Cooling Centers will be open through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5, to provide relief from the extreme heat. The following locations will provide a cool, air-conditioned environment:
Roxbury Park Community Center
Thursday/Friday: 8 a.m. 9:30 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday: 8 a.m. 5 p.m.
Monday: 11 a.m. 4 p.m.
La Cienega Park Community Center
Thursday/Friday: 8 a.m. 9:30 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday: 8 a.m. 5 p.m.
Monday: CLOSED
Beverly Hills Public Library
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. 9:30 p.m.
Friday/Saturday: 10 a.m. 6 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. 6 p.m.
Monday: CLOSED
The California Independent System Operator is expected to issue Flex Alerts throughout the weekend. A Flex Alert is a call for voluntary electricity conservation due to increased demand on the state’s electricity grid.
