Beverly Hills City Building Official and Assistant Director of Community Development, David Yelton, received the prestigious Fred C. Cunningham Award for Distinguished Service, the City’s highest recognition for outstanding service to the community. The award was bestowed at the Dec. 6 City Council meeting.
Named after the city’s longtime former Executive Director of Public Affairs, Fred C. Cunningham, the honor recognizes an employee who has a true vocation for serving the community and who has demonstrated expertise and commitment tempered with grace and humility. Mr. Yelton is the fourth honoree to receive the award, following Fred C. Cunningham, City Manager George Chavez and Beverly Hills Fire Chief Greg Barton.
“I couldn’t think of a more deserving person than David to receive this award,” said Mayor Lili Bosse during the presentation.
