Historic Metro Station Opens in Beverly Hills

Metro riders will now be able to get from Beverly Hills to downtown Los Angeles in 22 minutes as the Metro D Line station opened at La Cienega and Wilshire boulevards on May 8.

The D Line expanded to stations also at Wilshire Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, and Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, bringing a subway line to the most densely populated corridor west of the Mississippi River. A future station in Beverly Hills is planned to open on Beverly Drive in 2027 before the line expands west to Century City and Westwood.
