Approximately 200 people attended the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts’ “The Wallis Delivers: A Spring Gala Celebration” on May 21 in Beverly Hills.
The event honored Jeanie Buss, the governor of the Los Angeles Lakers and the first female controlling owner to win an NBA title, with the 2026 Wallis Icon Award. The evening also served to inaugurate the newly named East West Bank Plaza and to welcome Jean Davidson as incoming executive director and CEO of The Wallis. Those in attendance included Beverly Hills Councilmember Lester Friedman and Vice Mayor Mary Wells, as well as many other local luminaries.
