The Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) Aug. 18 Board of Education meeting covered a number of topics, including an update from the Beverly Hills Education Foundation (BHEF) and a discussion about excused and unexcused absences. Tensions rose in the latter half of the meeting during the “Communication from Board Members” portion of the agenda.
Board Member Dr. Amanda Stern, President Judy Manouchehri and Vice President Sigalie Sabag exchanged words regarding the preceding Closed Session and a lawsuit regarding the office of vice president.
