The Beverly Hills City Council Liaison/Rodeo Drive/Special Events/Holiday Program Committee considered the Rodeo Drive Committee’s plans for the city holiday lighting ceremony, which is scheduled for Nov. 19.
On Aug. 14, the committee reviewed the décor, celebration plans and budget for this year’s ceremony, with a proposed city-funded cost of $667,575. The estimated cost of the celebration is $682,575, with $15,000 expected from sponsorships. A separate $42,875 rain contingency is not included in the requested budget.
