The Beverly Hills Fire Department (BHFD) responded to a blaze at a two-story apartment complex in the 200 block of S. Rexford Dr. at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 9. The flames were brought under control, and the fire was declared a knockdown by 12:45 p.m.
Two firefighters were transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after sustaining injuries or illness while battling the flames. One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion. The other was treated for a minor burn.
