The Beverly Hills City Council Liaison / LA28 Standing Committee Special Meeting took place on Sept. 17. Participants discussed potential Olympic and Paralympic events, a possible film festival and plans to attract visitors and support local businesses during the 2028 Games. The agenda included a review of programming for residents and visitors, as well as potential partnerships with international organizations and local businesses.
Among the ideas discussed was a relocation of Concerts on Canon from Beverly Canon Gardens if the location is needed for Olympic-related activities. Councilmember and LA28 liaison Sharona Nazarian suggested moving the concerts to Beverly Gardens Park, near the Beverly Hills sign, while continuing to use the city’s existing staging equipment to avoid extra costs.
