The Beverly Hills City Council at its Feb. 11 Study Session directed city staff to conduct additional environmental testing on the property known as Gale Yard and to create a draft Request for Proposal [RFP] for a potential development at the site.
In the housing element of its general plan, the city has committed to facilitating the development of 557 affordable housing units on city properties. The commitment is a partial fulfillment of the city’s requirement under state law to develop 3,104 housing units for all income levels by 2029.
