The Beverly Hills City Council rejected a proposed microtransit pilot program at its Aug. 4 study session.
The microtransit pilot project, which was initially submitted to council on May 5, would provide a shuttle service throughout Beverly Hills, giving riders the ability to book on-demand, shared rides through a smartphone app, web booking platform or via phone. The shuttle system would help connect residents to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) D Line stations at Wilshire and La Cienega boulevards and the upcoming Beverly Drive station.
