The Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) has promoted Kevin M. Orth to the rank of Captain. Captain Orth will lead the Administrative Services Division, which includes the Personnel & Training, Records, and Communications bureaus, as well as the Department’s Budget Team.
Captain Orth’s career with BHPD spans 20 years, beginning as a Police Cadet in 2006 before becoming a Police Officer the following year. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of operational and leadership assignments, including Patrol Officer, DUI Enforcement Officer, Canine Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, and Patrol Lieutenant. His previous responsibilities have included oversight of patrol operations, the Field Training Officer Program, Canine Unit, and Crime Lab operations.
