Assemblywoman Irwin Endorses Goldsmith for State Senate

Brian Goldsmith

Beverly Hills resident Brian Goldsmith has been endorsed by Conejo Valley Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin in his campaign for the 24th State Senate District.

Irwin released the following statement with the endorsement:

“I’m proud to endorse Brian Goldsmith for the 24th State Senate District, which includes many communities that I represent. He is the best choice for our community because of his focus on addressing the affordability crisis, improving public safety, and tackling the big challenges of the future—like protecting our environment and dealing with transformative technologies. I know Brian is the candidate who can build coalitions in the Legislature to get results for our district. I look forward to working together throughout this campaign and in the years ahead.”

Irwin was first elected to the California State Assembly in 2014 and has long represented communities within SD 24, including Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, and Agoura Hills.

Goldsmith has earned endorsements from a broad range of prominent elected officials, including Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton; Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi; Senator Barbara Boxer (ret.); Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur (AD-51); Secretary Pete Buttigieg; Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman and Beverly Hills Mayor Craig Corman.

Goldsmith will face John Erickson in the November runoff to succeed Senator Ben Allen.
