Some 300 community members attended the Beverly Hills Education Fund (BHEF) Honors on May 21 at Beverly Canon Gardens to recognize supporters and educators who have made a difference in the lives of Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) students.

The hits, or at least the shows, keep on coming. Here’s a sampling of what’s out there.

Approximately 200 people attended the the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts' "The Wallis Delivers: A Spring Gala Celebration" on May 21 in Beverly Hills. 

Many are hosting events and talking to voters to make their final pitch before Election Day on June 2. 

The Beverly Hills City Council received an update on the city’s upcoming June 2 Municipal Election at the May 19 City Council Study Session.

The spring Beverly Hills Art Show, held May 16-17, drew thousands of visitors to Beverly Hills and Beverly Gardens Park, where 250 artists exhibited their work.

The city of Beverly Hills and the Community Services Department hosted a stop on Adeena Sussman’s national “Zariz” book tour.

Something significant has been happening in the courts, in school boardrooms, and in living rooms across Los Angeles; and it affects every family in our community.

At its May 19 meeting, the Beverly Hills City Council advised city staff to include three levels of subterranean parking in its consideration of a proposed development for a 100% affordable senior housing project at 327-335 South Robertson Blvd. 

The conversation touched upon his tenure on the school board, political factions in the city and critics of his “hammer-and-nails” style.
