Beverly Hills Chief of Police Mark G. Stainbrook officially retires from his post on June 26, after serving in that role for the past 4½ years. He leaves behind a dramatically lowered crime rate, world-class technological innovations and some internal friction that he chalks up to a cost of leadership.
